Call for Submissions

The Art Collection is committed to making knowledge visible throughout the university. Part of this remit includes working with recent and current researchers to provide exhibition space and guidance in visually communicating their work. We have a dedicated student exhibition area in the A Corridor of the Pathfoot Building with a programme of changing student exhibitions.

We are currently taking submissions for the 2022/23 academic session. If you have recently (in the last year) or are currently undertaking research as part of a programme of study at any level and would like the opportunity to showcase your work, we’d love to hear from you.

Why submit?

Displaying your research can help boost your public engagement skills and help you understand how to translate your findings for a non-specialist audience. Exhibition development can boost your C.V by giving you project management experience and experience in design and interpretation.

What can be submitted?

We take proposals from any discipline, as long as there is a visual element in the research for example photographs, maps, archive material, artworks, book covers, illustrations, poetry.

How to submit:

Fill in our short form here and tell us about your research and what you would like to exhibit: https://forms.gle/QDuc3SEY5Arddg429

If you’re unsure about whether your project would work, or need any guidance at all please send us an email at Emma.McCombie@stir.ac.uk
